1. National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Examination

• Conducting Body: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
• Frequency: Twice a year
• Eligibility:
  • Age: 16.5 to 19.5 years
  • Educational Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board
  • Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible
• Selection Process:
  • Written Examination
  • Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview
  • Medical Examination
• Training Academies:

  • Naval Academy, Ezhimala

2. Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination

• Conducting Body: UPSC
• Frequency: Twice a year
• Eligibility:
  • Age: 19 to 25 years
  • Educational Qualification: Graduate or final-year students from a recognized university
  • Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible for OTA; only male candidates for IMA, INA, and AFA
• Selection Process:
  • Written Examination

  • Educational Qualification: Graduation (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)
